  The Beacon is an annual publication of Pakistan Navy War College, which a premier institute and the highest seat of learning in Pakistan Navy. The scope of the journal includes key traditional as well as non-traditional security issues confronting regional and global environment. It primarily focuses on maritime security, blue economy, international security, peace and conflict studies, and other contemporary geo-political and strategic issues. The main objective of The Beacon Journal is to promote high-standard scholarly and policy-oriented research in the aforementioned areas of study. Hence, under the guidance of an expert Advisory Board, the Beacon Journal serves as a trendsetter in academic world to advance maritime and strategic thinking in Pakistan.

  The beacon Journal is a peer-reviewed bi-annual research journal of the Pakistan Navy War College and recognized in Y-Category by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). It is a forum for independent research, scholarly investigation and analysis, encompassing national, regional and global issues with policy relevance. It primarily focuses on maritime security studies with a multi-disciplinary perspective. The fundamental objective of The Beacon Journal is to publish top-quality, policy-relevant research in an accessible manner.
